Welcome to Fitfisherman.com. My name is Darrin Madole. I am a licensed physical therapist, a certified strength and conditioning specialist, a certified athletic trainer, a credentialed Mckenzie Spinal Therapist, and an ergonomics assessment specialist. As the owner of Balanced Health Inc. in Southern California I see fisherman everyday for various different ailments. You name it I've seen it, injured backs, necks, shoulders, knees, ankles, elbows, and wrists. Don't misunderstand me, not all ailments we see come from fishing, but all the ailments limit the fisherman's ability to do what he or she loves most - fish.
This website is designed to help the fisherman become more fit. It's purpose is to increase the strength and power, endurance and stamina, balance and flexibility of today's fisherman. By doing these exercises and activities on this website one gives him/herself the chance to fish longer, safer, more ergonomically sound. The end result is more fish time, which ultimately results in more fun. It doesn't matter if you fish salt or fresh, deep or stream, charter a thirty day vessel or stand on a dock in the bayou, this exercise regime is for you. Even if you are the fittest person you know, you will still benefit from the exercises contained here within.
